A Conversation Part II

So all weekend Addison has been bringing up this topic again. Then today, the following conversation took place:

Addison: Mom, I want a baby brother.
Mom: I thought you didn't want a baby brother, I thought you wanted a baby sister.
Addison: No, I want a baby brother. I like girls.
Mom: Baby brothers are boys. Baby sisters are girls. Which do you want, a baby brother or a baby sister?
Addison: ::::thoughtful pause:::: I want two babies.

Do you ever feel like God is playing a joke on you? For those of you who don't know, twins run in my family. Fortunately, I believe they skip a generation, and since my brother and sister are twins, I think I'm safe. Still. I feel like someone up in Heaven was getting quite the kick out of our conversation today.

This whole thing is extra funny since twins run in the fam! Hilarious! Yeah, good luck with that Rebecca. :)

Twins did not skip a generation in our family, what are you talking about? There are twins every generation. My grandpa, my uncles, my cousins and Amy and Eric. That does not sound like it skips to me!

Oh, don't tell me things like that mom. I'm focusing on teh direct line. Grandpa had twin brothers, but you didn't have any twin siblings, then I had twin siblings, so I won't have any twins. That's the way it works in my little world.

Hmmm...sometimes kids are suspiciously smart. Galla absolutely knew this baby was a brother before we found out. When we told her it was a boy it was no news to her. You'd better be careful!

Maddy always tells me she wants me to have one thousand eighty five sixty two one hundred six babies! WOWZA. I told her yesterday, if I have any more babies she'd have to share a room with them. She says, just the girls mom and that's ok with me! funny.

by the way, my dad is a twin and yes it skips a generation. he didn't have any twins, so now perhaps one of his kids will????? hmmm, food for thought.
