Modesty

So a few months ago we had a family home evening on modesty. It didn't go so well. I was pretty sure everything just flew over her head and figured we'd try again in a year or two. Well apparently it did stick because lately Addison's been pointing out that she needs to wear sweaters with some of her clothes because they're not modest. Cool. She got it.

Well, today we were waiting for Hannah's 1 year dr appt. She had a runny nose so we were waiting in the Hall at the hospital so we didn't get the babies inside sick. A lady walked by with a spaghetti strap dress. Addison pointed and said right to her, "That's not modest." I just about died! Fortunately the lady just laughed. I apologized. This weeks FHE may be on keeping some thoughts to yourself.

Oh Man! Gotta love that kids say exactly whats on their minds! And there's not much you can do about it. At least the lady laughed. I got a good laugh out of it too, it's always funnier when it's not your kid that says it! :)

Carrie has done the same thing, except she said- "she has no clothes on." Awesome.

So funny!! My sister has all sorts of problems like this with her kids, and I admit, I have avoided teaching my kids about modesty simply because I don't want to be humiliated. Such, I teach Seara to cover her undies when she sits on Sundays, but I haven't pointed anything out yet for fear she starts noticing ... and talking.

Hahaha, oh, Addison! That's hilarious! She's such a bright girl - so bright, you're going to have your hands full, my dear. :)

Thanks for the laugh. My kiddos used to do the same type of thing when they saw people smoking. It makes you want to just crawl in a hole and hide!:)
