Christmas Eve

Well, as I mentioned in my last post, we spent Christmas in Moab this year. It was a ton of fun having everybody there. This is a picture of everyone's stockings. Can you believe how many there are!!! If you look closely, there are little tiny stockings in front of the Big stockings. Those ones are for the babies in mommies bellies. :o)

On our way home from Moab, Addison sat in her car seat quietly for about the first 15 min of the drive home and then said, "Mom, I go to Grandma's house again." I can't say I blamed her. She had so much fun with all of her aunts and uncles. She was thrilled to have cousin McKenna to play with too. They had a blast together. These girls are lucky enough to have Uncles who pulled them around in a box. They couldn't get enough of it. Addison also had her first bath with another kid. She loved it. I think she'll adjust just fine when the baby comes. Two clean girls sitting on Aunt Rebecca/Mom's lap in their Christmas Pajamas, ready to go to bed so Santa can come.

Our Little Family Christmas

So every year before we travel down to Moab, we have our own little family Christmas and open the presents my family gave us. We are traveling to Moab either today or tomorrow (depending on the weather and whether or not I can get Bart away from his new game long enough to clean the house), so we decided to celebrate today.
Okay, so this isn't the best picture, but behind the stocking on the left (my stocking) is the most AWESOME apron and hot pad glove. It's SOOOOOO cool! And there's a nut chopper where you put the nuts in the top and turn this little crank and they get chopped to the measuring cup below. So AWESOME. Santa was awesome to me. I sure love him. :o)
Addison got this cool ball in her stocking from Santa. The picture's blurry, but I was telling people about it, so I thought I'd post a picture so they could see it...it's kind of hard to explain.Bart got a laser level, and The Tales of Beetle and the Bard in his stocking...along with these cool soccer ball decorated car air fresheners...don't deny it, you all are jealous.Amy Stopped by before she left to California, so she was actually able to be here when we opened her presents, that was awesome. Bart loves his CDs.
Addison seriously had all the stickers out of the package before Amy even left. AWESOME gift Amy...the movie and book were awesome too...shes' watching Emperor's New Groove right now.And I LOVE my scrapbooking stuff...although I did have to hide the stickers from Addison. Silly girl!Bart loves the games. Thanks mom and Dad. (I didn't have him open everything, I told him he had to save some of them for Moab...he'll have more fun with them there anyway. :o)This year, instead of me opening the presents from my family Bart decided to have me open the presents from him because he said that I wouldn't be able to use it in Moab and it was so big he didn't want to have to pack it in the car. So here is me opening his present. What did he get me that put this awesome smile on my face you wonder?THIS!!!!
I SERIOUSLY had no idea! I liked our old bedding, but it was just too dark for our room, and I complained about regularly, but never really thought we'd be getting new stuff. This was an AWESOME surprise!!!!! AND LOOK AT ALL THE PRETTY PILLOWS!!! (For those of you who knew me in high school, you know how much I love my pillows)! It was a collaborative effort between he and my mom. Bart told my mom what he wanted to get me, so they both kept their eyes out for something I might like. My mom found this. And she made the two adorable pillows with the buttons on them! They're so cute! I'll have to get a closer picture of them. But I LOVE THEM!!! And notice the curtains in the picture above. So cute! I couldn't get a good picture of them. I'll have to wait until it's dark. And here's the dust ruffle.Seriously Babe, well done! Thank you so much! I LOVE IT!

You Live, You Learn

And today I learned that I don't think I've ever actually made a snow man before. I remember a few half hearted attempts in high school when we went up to the mountains, or in college when we were playing around with friends, but today I realized I don't think I've ever seen the making of a snowman through to the end...for those of you who grew up with me and have better memories than I do, feel free to correct me.
So I began, with visions of Janae & Sam's Bigger than life snowman from last year, to make my snowman. Well, I learned that making a snow man is actually pretty hard. Especially when it's just a pregnant woman and a two year old. Nevertheless, I'm rather pleased with the result:True, it's more Addison sized, than grown man sized, but I'm happy with it.
Some of the bling bling on his hands:Addison loves him.
We also made snow angels...I guess I forgot to get a picture of mine, but I got one of Addison's.

While following cat tracks through the snow I also learned that people weren't the only ones who can make yellow snow.

Raking the Leaves

As I mentioned before, we have lots of fun fall memories, and this is one of them: Raking the leaves. It pretty much took us a month to do. True, we only did it for a little while on Saturdays when when had a chance, but still...we have a lot of trees!

Addison loved it...As you can see. Perhaps part of the reason it took so long was because whenever Addison was with us she insisted that we rake a pile around her...a pile that was quickly destroyed when she decided she didn't want to be in the pile any more.

SOOOOOO Tired!!!

So last night I had this dream that I was so tired, but for some reason my family wouldn't let me go to sleep. Like seriously. I felt like I was going to just fall down right where I was standing and fall asleep. Then Bart's alarm clock went off. So I woke up feeling so tired I felt like I was just going to fall down right where I was and fall asleep...if I was standing anyway...bummer.
