Special Mail

On Wednesday, we got a special piece of mail from the mailman. It was this:

For those of you who know what this is, no, Bart & I are not going on a mission...my sister Amy is!!! She was worried she wouldn't be in her current address when the call came, so she gave them our address. The day before we got the call the mailman came at 4:00. That day it didn't come until like 6:00 (With a little note from the postal service saying our mail time was going to be changing...on that day of all days! Sheesh!) We were watching the window for the mail man for two hours!!!

Anyway, here's a picture of her reading the call:And this is what she looked like as she read that she was going to the Taiwan Taipei Mission...I think she was surprised, what do you think?Ahh lovely sister missionary dresses.Addison looks very happy in this picture. I have a feeling when she finds out her aunt Amy, whom she loves so much, will be leaving her for a year and a half, she might not be as excited, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.Did I mention that she's leaving December 23?!? DECEMBER 23!!! Come on! Can't she just go in a week later and be with us for Christmas?!? Oh well. We're excited for you Amy. We love you!!!

Oh I am so excited for your sister! I didn't know she was planning on a mission. If she needs any "sister missionary" advice, let me know. That is awesome she is going to Taiwan...most people think that is where I went...Taiwan, Thailand...you know whatever it's the same place! ha ha ha

Woohoo!! Congrats to Amy. Sister missionaries are the BEST. Not that I'm biased or anything. ;) Good luck to her!

ps. that is weird about Christmas. Maybe you guys can celebrate the night of the 22nd and morning of the 23rd? The kids won't know any different.

Congratulations! That is so neat. Scary though that she is going so far away. My sister is only in California and it is so hard having her gone. Weird timing though. Good Luck!
